I get so much from Hackstudio, and am reinvigorated every time I’m here. You fit as soon as you walk in the door. When something clicks for kids, and they realize they did it themselves, you can see their confidence play out in the next project they choose to tackle. It makes you want to go apply it in other areas of your life.

I love seeing the breakthroughs I’m not expecting. It’s a lot like an improv scene. If you have an idea of how you think something is going to go, and then wait for it, it passes you by. Hackstudio forces you to be present and in the moment.

When DJ is not at Hackstudio, he loves building and fixing his bikes, and making multimedia art pieces with his collective.
